The Lady Patriots took on two teams on Friday:
North High School and Legend High School of Parker. Our depth
continues to show through as our girls won 173 to 80 for Legend and
23 for North.
Since many of the DPS teams don't have many
swimmers, we added Legend HS at the last minute and they brought
their twenty swimmers to the inner city.
There were many good swims, but Paige Witter's
500 free and Amelia Brunner's 100 back were the most memorable.
Our 400 free relay team nearly qualified for State, too, in a time
of 4:00.8.
Special thanks goes out to all the swimmers and
parent who stepped up to help time and run the meet. Also
thank you to Meghan's dad who took all the photos.
It was also cool to have the Lady Patriot
Cheerleading squad show up to perform a few routines at the
beginning of the meet. We usually don't get much attention.
