The Lady Patriots couldn't overcome the depth of the team from East, and they took second place in the DPS Relay Meet.

Our girls won three out of the seven events and East won the other four.  Where they won, we placed second and vice versa.

One of our important relays false started and disqualified, costing the team about 32 points.  Without that "miss," we would have only lost by eight points!  If the mistake had happened to East, we would have won the meet.

We won the 200 Butterfly Relay with an amazing swim by Paige W. in a come-from-behind thriller.

Our A-Team also took the 500 Crescendo Relay with strong efforts from Laura M., Chloe B., Paige W., Alexandra G. and Emmily P.

The last victory came in the 100 free relay where our girls showed off their sprint speed.

In addition to the winning relays, we had many awesome swims from some of our newer swimmers.  Michelle Guan is improving daily, and Allison Steel looked great in her leg of the fly relay.  Madeleine W's 200 free as a part of her Crescendo relay was also cool.

Even though we didn't win the meet.  I like our chance against East in our dual meet in January and League in February.

Next Up:  Tri-Meet with North and Legend High Schools this Friday.
