It was a great start to the
morning as Elly Wieber started the meet off with a victory for the
Lady Patriots in the diving portion of the DPS B-League
Championship.
Our girls were on a roll and
continued through the meet winning 9 out of 12 total events on
Saturday and winning the the Team Title:

GW Patriots: 384

Denver East: 269

Denver West: 166

Thomas Jefferson: 126

Montbello: 104
-
Denver South: 100
The victory gives our team some
nice momentum going into next week's A-League Meet at Manual High
School. The defending champion East Angels are heavily favored
to repeat.
Two of our girls turned in
spectacular swims to qualify for next weekend: Abby G. in the
200 Free and Sami O. in the 500 Free.
It was an excellent team effort:

9 out of 11 event victories

27 personal bests (out of 32
total swims)

8 "first timer" including the
100 Butterfly by Emma T and Sam H. who both scored big points
for the team

NO DISQUALIFICATIONS!!!
The latter bullet point is
especially fulfilling as it means our team paid attention to the
detail work of the last week and swam smart.
Thanks to all the parents who
came to support the girls. It was great seeing you all at the
"50-yard line" decked out in Patriot Green.
