Our boy's team did an awesome job
on Saturday at the Smoky-Crest Invite in Aurora by taking first
place in 7 out of 12 overall events.
Despite winning a majority of the
events, our team was outnumbered by Heritage and Smoky Hill High
Schools ending up in third place overall.
The highlight of the meet was
Xavier Brown's state qualifying time in the 500 Free. Xavier
has been very close to qualifying for state for two years, and he
finally made it! Congratulations!
If the meet had anything to do
with FREESTYLE, GW won it! Captain Dan won both the 50 and 100
free events, Ben took the 200 and 500, and they teamed up with Seth
and Jake to take the 200 and 400 relays. Very impressive boys!
Jake won the 200IM and Seth was a
close second (2/100th of a second) in the 100 fly. Xavier
scored in the 200 and 500, Kyle provided some valuable points in the
200IM and 100 Breast as did Kevin.
Our newer swimmers continue to
improve as Chris was second alternate in the 100 free and Boris was
close to a swim back in the 50. Liam, Henry, Evan, and Bryan
keep setting personal bests. Keep up the work, boys!
Next up is TJ at TJ on Wednesday. |
