Both teams were depleted due to
extra-curricular activities and other eligibility requirements, but
our Patriot Boys overcame the Mullen Mustangs in the season's first
meet by a final score of 99 to 55.
There were several very
competitive races highlighted by the tie in the 200 free relay with
both teams coming in at 1:48.04.
Kyle, Xavier, Richard, and Matt
led our team of mostly new swimmers against the out-manned team from
Mullen. Divers Sean and Ben helped the team to victory.
It was fun seeing all the
beginners in the pool, and we have lots of work, but the season is
just beginning and the improvement will be dramatic.
The electronic timing system also
proved a success. We are fundraising for a scoreboard on the
west wall, so if you're inclined to donate to the cause, please talk
