OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST
VISITS GW
The 2010 Patriot Boy's
swimming season has begun, and the team is already
taking shape. As an inspiration to the team, we
brought in the 1984 Gold Medalist, George DiCarlo.
DiCarlo also attended Thomas
Jefferson HS where he was the State Champion in the 200
and 500 Free (still DPS record times) in 1981.
From TJ, he went on to the University of Arizona where
he was the two-time NCAA Champion in the 500. In
1984, he won the 400 Free and placed second in the 1500
at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Today, George
lives in Lonetree and supports his two daughters as they
swim.
